Now TeamViewer remote access is even more secure
|
| | Hi there, As you know, password theft is the hacker's best trick to gain access to sensitive systems, which is why so many of the tools we use every day have moved to two-factor authentication for an additional layer of security. TeamViewer is no different. In addition to the existing TFA at the account level, we're happy to now provide two-factor authentication for our remote connections with a commonsense approach that brings peace of mind while still providing flexibility in how TFA is deployed and used. You get to decide which connecting devices require TFA and how many people have the capability to approve a connection to those devices. TFA can be used to connect to every device in your network or just your most sensitive. Although the feature is currently only available for Windows devices, other platforms are in the works. For more on how it works, check out our blog post, which goes into depth on potential use cases and the benefits they provide to our users.

| | | | Once two-factor authentication is established between the device being protected and an approving device, any attempted connection to that device requires approval through the TeamViewer Remote Control app. Requests identify the attempting device's ID, so you know at a glance whether a connection attempt is legitimate or not.
